I noticed something . . .

. . . while listening to that golden oldie 'The Hurdy-Gurdy Man.'

Near the end of the song, there's this other guy that shows up-The Roly Poly Man. But the song is mostly about The Hurdy-Gurdy Man . . . but then this other guy shows up . . . and, frankly, I think this Roly Poly Fella . . . is kinda underdeveloped.

Or is it that the song is about the impending obsolescence of The Hurdy-Gurdy Man, and that's why the appearance of The Roly Poly Man is so abrupt. It's supposed to feel like the moment when the new product line launches, and we realize, last minute, that we're all supposed to throw our Hurdy-Gurdy Men in the trash, and just start fuckin' with the New Shit, this Roly Poly Shit.

So . . . maybe . . . the song is supposed to be abrupt and random and unsatisfying.  Maybe that’s what it's about. About how you get on board the hype-train for the first thing, but then they want you to get with this second thing, but you're still with the first thing, and it's just a pain directly inside your asshole.

Yeah.

Now, I just get so stressed listening to this song.

There's no enjoyment in this world.

There really isn't.
